Our historical roots lie in Darmstadt, where Friedrich Jacob Merck acquired the Engel-Apotheke (“Angel Pharmacy”) in 1668. In 1827, Heinrich Emanuel Merck began the industrial-scale production of alkaloids, plant extracts and other chemicals. The successful export business in the United States led in 1887 to the establishment of a subsidiary in New York. Under Georg Merck, a grandson of Heinrich Emanuel Merck, Merck & Co. was formed in 1891. Following the confiscation of properties that took place as a result of World War I, Merck & Co. became an independent American company.

Akkimya has founded in 1970 which operates on technical chemistry. Akkimya gives full concentration for better quality. Merged with Tekkim in 2005.Tekkim serves for consumers through its dealers. Company,packing of chemicals according to K-Q TSE EN 9001 certificate and Hazard Chemicals Regulations date 11 July 1993 and numbered 21634 and also procedures on Safety information forms regulations dated 11 March 2002 and 24692 of Ministry of Environment. As Tekkim we are conscious of how to packages hazardous chemicals.Same as liquid chemicals we also very carefull for solid chemicals's packaging. Beside, we use such packeges and lids that easy to use for laboratories.

The name Greiner is traditionally and early associated with glass producing history and sources to glass manufacturers in 14th / 15th century. Hans Greiner, grandson of the well-known gaffer master Peter Greiner born 1415, emigrated to Thüringen and founded the Glashütte Langenbach there. Whose great grandson has built the glassworks Lauscha and established this world-famous place Lauscha (Christmas tree decorations)F. F. Greiner (*1808 1855) of Stützerbach (Thüringen) developed 1831 the first industrially produced thermometer and had designed already 64 types hydrometers and thermometers as well as more physical measuring instruments and built up the booming thermometer industry in the Thüringer forest. The secrets of glass manufactoring are devolved traditionelly from father to son therefore the family lasted over centuries connected with this business. Justus Liebig, founder of the actual chemistry and many more famous names are counted among clients of the Greiners. Moreover Greiners were leading involved to following fabrications:
1883 Creation of the first filament lamp in Germany
1885 Establishing of the first thermos container
1886 Creation of the first x-ray tube as well as many more developments and inventions

The above mentioned historical beginnings through the glassblower F. F. Greiner are continued over the company Ephraim Greiner – Stützerbach-Goethehaus – to the founder of our company
